Qualifications

• License/Certifications: Current Radiation Therapy license issued by IEMA Department of Nuclear Safety AND ARRT Radiology registered or successful completion of ARRT Radiology registry within 6 months of hire.
• Experience: Knowledge of radiation therapy procedures and equipment operation, and of physics and patient care techniques; communication with patients and staff; ability to interpret prescriptions and treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily patient flow of the Radiation Oncology clinic and support process improvements for patient care.
• Prepare treatment rooms, position patients, and administer prescribed doses of ionizing radiation using specialized equipment.
• Monitor patients during therapy sessions and observe for changes in condition; assist physicians as needed and ensure patient comfort.
