Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Radiation Therapist to deliver ionizing radiation to treat patients in accordance with the Radiation Oncologist’s prescription and Simulation Instructions. The role requires completing an approved Radiation Therapy Program and ARRT certification.

Candidates should have a GED or high school diploma; preferred experience with Varian equipment such as TrueBeam and ARIA; candidates must meet the Radiation Therapy License requirements and maintain patient

The Radiation Therapist is responsible for the delivery of ionizing radiation to treat patients in accordance with the Radiation Oncologists prescription and Simulation Instructions.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
• Graduate from an approved Radiation Therapy Program.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

• A minimum of 1 year of experience with Varian equipment / Truebeam / ARIA.
• True Beam and CT anatomy.

Licenses and Certifications Required:

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certification - ARRT (T).
• Radiation Therapy License.

Working Conditions:

• Lifts a minimum of 25 lbs., pushes and pulls a minimum of 25 lbs. and stands a minimum of 4 hours a day.
