Covenant Jobs in Lubbock, TX is seeking a Radiation Therapist - Radiology Oncology for JACC Covenant Children's Hospital. You will coordinate, prepare and administer radiation treatments per the Radiation Oncologist’s prescriptions, with emphasis on safety and patient comfort.

Onsite role serving diverse patient populations, from infants to adults. The position requires collaboration with the care team and adherence to QA and documentation standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Texas license or ARRT certification upon hire.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, prepare and administer radiation therapy treatments and simulations.
• Adhere to radiation safety practices and perform quality assurance.
• Document thoroughly and maintain patient records with accuracy.
• Collaborate with the Radiation Oncologist and care team with minimal supervision.

Radiation Therapist - Radiology Oncology at JACC Covenant Children's Hospital in Lubbock, TX

Please note that this position is onsite and therefore requires the ability to commute to the Joe Arrington Cancer Research and Treatment Center (JACC) in Lubbock, TX.

Coordinates, prepares and administers radiation therapy treatments and simulation procedures to infants, pediatric, adult and geriatric patients as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist; patient population is majority adults. Applies appropriate radiation safety, practices, performs quality assurance procedures, and clear and concise documentation. Assumes complete responsibility and accountability with little supervision required. Collaborates with others and seeks direction from supervisor or others as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Texas General Medical Radiologic Technologist License upon hire -OR-
• National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hire

Preferred Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program
• 1 year of experience in a fast-paced Radiation Oncology department
