Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a Full-Time Radiation Therapist to join the treatment team at 800 Spruce St, Philadelphia. You will work under supervision with clinical physicists and dosimetrists to deliver daily radiation treatments and participate in CT simulation rotations.

The role requires completion of an approved Radiation Therapy Tech program and an Amer Registry Radiologic Tech. Candidates should be able to operate treatment machinery safely and coordinate patient care across shifts.

Qualifications

• Certificate of Completion from an approved Radiation Therapy Technology program is required.
• American Registry Radiologic Tech is required.
• Familiarity with the process required for CT Simulation, PET CT & MRI is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Explain radiation procedures to the patient and reinforce physician directives.
• Prepare room and equipment for patient treatment per prescription and immobilization devices.
• Position patients and operate treatment machines safely and accurately.
• Document daily treatment details in the patient’s radiation therapy chart.
• Schedule treatments and manage supplies and daily billing records.
