Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Radiation Therapist to provide daily care for cancer patients, interpreting and delivering radiation treatments and performing simulations for students.

The role includes potential coverage of IORT and various proton/ photon procedures, with on-call and scheduling duties. Overtime and regional site coverage may be required; ARRT certification and JRCERT‑accredited training are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires associate's degree and completion of a JRCERT‑accredited Radiation Therapy program.
• Current ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy required at time of hire or within 2 months.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 2 months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care of cancer patients, including interpretation and delivery of radiation treatments.
• Perform simulations and provide clinical instruction for radiation therapy students.
• May cover IORT, Brachy Procedures, Proton/Photon practice, On-call and treatment scheduling.
• Act as active care team member, attend meetings and coordinate with team.
• Overtime and shift work may be required; may cover Rochester or regional sites as needed.
