Froedtert Health in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Radiation Therapist to deliver radiation therapy simulation and treatments to cancer patients in Radiation Oncology on-site at Froedtert Hospital.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy or 5+ years of RT experience, ARRT RT(T) certification within 90 days, and BLS within 90 days; strong patient communication and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Radiation Therapy or 5+ years RT experience.
• ARRT RT(T) certification within 90 days of hire.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Provide radiation therapy simulation and treatments to cancer patients.
• Document Radiation Oncology simulation and treatment information in EMR.
• Explain procedures to patients and families, answering questions clearly.
• Refer complex questions to the Radiation Oncologist; perform other duties as assigned.

Education Description

Bachelor of Science Degree from an ARRT Certified Radiation Therapy program, or in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, a minimum of 5 years of previous Radiation Therapist experience, required.

Licence Description

Certified as a RT (T) Radiation Therapist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required within 90 days of hire. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
