Texas Oncology is looking for a Radiation Therapist to join our team! This position will support our Greenville, TX location.

Responsibilities
What does the Radiation Therapist do?

The Radiation Therapist, under direct supervision, administers radiation therapy treatments to patients. Precision in positioning the radiation beam and delivering the prescribed dose are critical. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

Essential duties and responsibilities:
  1. Accurately delivers and records radiation therapy treatments under the supervision of a radiation oncologist and chief radiation therapist.
  2. Enters and maintains patient treatment data in electronic medical records; participates in clinical instruction of new therapists and students.
  3. Assists in maintaining patient appointment schedules and billing accuracy.
  4. Assists in cutting blocks when applicable.
  5. Makes custom molds accurately.
  6. Performs simple MU calculations.
  7. Interprets computerized treatment plans.
  8. Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Graduation from an accredited radiation therapy technology program.
  • ARRT certification and valid state license for radiation therapy.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

The physical demands include sitting, using hands, occasional standing, walking, reaching, and lifting up to 30 pounds. Vision and hearing should be corrected to normal. The work environment is typical for a healthcare setting, with reasonable accommodations available for disabilities.
