Job summary

Akumin is seeking a Radiation Therapist at our Boston, MA facilities for a per diem role. The position requires ARRT (T) certification, CPR, and 1–4 years of experience, with a focus on precise treatment delivery and patient comfort.

The role includes simulations, EMR data input, QA tasks, and collaboration with physicians to ensure safe, effective care. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential to support patients throughout treatment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required.
• ARRT (T) certification required.
• CPR certification required.
• 1–4 years of Radiation Therapist experience.
• COVID-19 may be a condition of employment.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Deliver radiation treatment per prescription and plan.
• Provide caring environment for patients, visitors, staff.
• Document treatment records and report deviations.
• Explain procedures to patients and family; address concerns.
• Perform patient simulations when requested and input data into EMR.
• Assist with transport, chart reviews, and supplies; ensure high-quality treatment.
• Perform daily/weekly QA and participate in quality improvement.
• Capture and verify treatment charges.
