Job summary

Texas Oncology in Abilene is seeking a Radiation Therapist to join our team. The Radiation Therapist, under direct supervision, administers radiation therapy treatments to patients with accuracy in beam placement and prescribed dose delivery, supporting compliance and patient safety.

Responsibilities include entering treatment parameters into the EMR, assisting in training new therapists, maintaining schedules, and ensuring a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy technology program.
• ARRT certification required and must hold a valid state license for radiation therapy.

Responsibilities

• Accurately delivers and records radiation therapy treatments under the direction of a radiation oncologist and chief radiation therapist.
• Accurately enters and maintains patient treatment parameters into electronic medical record.
• Participates in clinical instruction of newly hired therapists and students.
• Assists in maintaining patient appointment schedule and submitting correct billing information.
• Maintains clean, safe, and organized work environment.
