Job Description
Educational/Training Requirements: High school graduate who has completed a 24-month course in radiological technology and a 12-month course in radiation therapy OR a high school graduate who has satisfactorily completed a 24-month course in radiation therapy technology.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registration: All therapists must be certified and registered annually in radiation therapy technology by the ARRT (T) or hold a current license as required by the state. Board-eligible therapists must obtain ARRT board certification.
CPR Requirement: CPR certification is required.
Experience Requirements: Entry level with the potential for promotion to Senior Radiation Therapist after a minimum of three years of experience as a staff Radiation Therapist.
