Qualifications

  • Must be a candidate for ARRT (R) certification.
  • Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • IEMA licensure required.

Job description

Position Highlights:

  • Position: Radiation Therapist
  • Hourly Pay Range: $37.47 - $58.08. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
  • Location: Edward and Elmhurst Hospital - Naperville and Elmhurst, IL
  • Full Time | 40 hour/week
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm - no weekends or holidays

What you will do:

  • Simulates treatment set-ups, performs dosimetric calculation, and accurately delivers ionizing radiation as prescribed by the radiation oncologist while working under general supervision of the System Manager, Radiation Oncology.
  • Assists in patient care and management.
  • Adheres to clinical, technical and operational policies and procedures.

What you will need:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program
  • Certification: At a minimum, must be a candidate for ARRT (R) (American Registry of Radiological Technology) (Radiology Therapy) certification.Must successfully complete certification exam and be registered within one year of start date into position.
  • Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • License: IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency) licensure
  • Experience: previous experience with Varian equipment and previous experience with ARIA EMR, preferred.
