Job summary

Northern Light Health is seeking a full-time Radiation Therapist in the Radiation Oncology department at Eastern Maine Medical Center, located in Bangor, ME. You will perform simulations, treatments, chart checks, and scheduling, with responsibilities including patient education and on-call coverage as needed.

The role offers a 4-day work week style and opportunities to work with a multi-disciplinary team in a modern facility with advanced LINACs and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Greeting customers, patients and co-workers with a friendly smile and using AIDET when appropriate.
• Monitors and ensures accurate treatment delivery, chart checks, scheduling and QA tasks on radiation therapy equipment.
• Communicates patient questions and concerns to physicians and nursing staff; maintains patient privacy and comfort.
• Performs treatment setup, simulation tasks, and on-call support as required.
• Collaborates with the department and colleagues to ensure safe, efficient care and continuous improvement.
