Job summary

Compass Oncology in Vancouver, WA is seeking a Radiation Therapist to join the RadOnc team. You will administer radiation treatments under supervision, assist with scheduling, and help create custom molds for patients.

The ideal candidate has ARRT certification, a state license for WA/OR, and 1–3 years of clinical experience, with opportunities for growth in a supportive oncology-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited radiation therapy technology program.
• ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy required.
• Must hold a valid state license for radiation therapy in Oregon and Washington.
• 1-3 years of clinical experience preferred; new grads are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and record radiation therapy treatments under the direction of a radiation oncologist and chief radiation therapist.
• Enter and maintain patient treatment parameters into the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Participate in clinical instruction of newly hired therapists and students.
• Assist in maintaining patient appointment schedules and submitting correct billing information.

Compass Oncology – the Pacific Northwest’s largest privately owned cancer care group – offers a myriad of treatments and services to their patients. At our Vancouver Cancer Center our patients can receive Radiation Oncology (RadOnc) services. Our dedicated RadOnc team is looking for a Radiation Therapist to become their newest member. As an integral part of the RadOnc care team, the Radiation Therapist would assist with the administration of radiation treatments to our patients. Other duties would include assisting with scheduling, making custom molds, and aiding the Radiation Oncologists in the treatment of our patients.

Employment Type

Full-Time, 40 Hours M-F (This position does not require weekend or evening call, offering a more predictable and balanced work schedule)

Salary Range

$46.00-$69.95 Per Hour

Job Scope

Under direct supervision, administers radiation therapy treatments to patients. Accuracy in positioning the beam of radiation to correspond with the designated tumor volume and accurately delivering the prescribed dose are paramount job functions. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

Responsibilities

• Accurately delivers and records radiation therapy treatments under the direction of a radiation oncologist and chief radiation therapist.
• Accurately enters and maintains patient treatment parameters into electronic medical record.
• Participates in clinical instruction of newly hired therapists and students.
• Assists in maintaining patient appointment schedule and submitting correct billing information.
• Accurately cuts blocks, when applicable.
• Accurately makes custom molds.
• Accurately completes simple mu calculations.
• Accurately interprets a computerized treatment plan.
• Maintains clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduation from an accredited radiation therapy technology program.
• Certification: ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy required.
• Licensure: Must hold a valid state license for radiation therapy in Oregon and Washington.
• Experience: 1-3 years of clinical experience preferred; though highly motivated new graduates with a commitment to excellence and growth are encouraged to apply.
