Job summary

Tenet Healthcare is seeking a Radiation Therapist for a full-time, day shift in the Rad Onc department. Under the direction of the Radiation Oncologist and center director, you will perform all clinical aspects of Radiation Therapy and interact with adult to adolescent patients with sensitivity and care.

You will ensure quality of services, support patients with special needs, and contribute to center goals.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of educational program leading to registration as a Radiation Therapy Technologist.
• Current California CDPH registration as Radiation Therapist required.
• Current Registry with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology preferred.
• BLS certification within six months of hire.
• 1-2 Years experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform all clinical aspects of Radiation Therapy and related duties as assigned.
• Treat, communicate and interact respectfully with adult, older adult and adolescent patients.
• Be considerate of patients with special physical, emotional and/or psychological needs.
• Assist in development and achievement of center goals and ensure continual quality of services.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Radiation Oncologist and supervision of the center director the Radiation Therapist has the responsibility to perform all clinical aspects of Radiation Therapy and other duties as assigned. The therapist is required to treat, communicate and respectfully interact with adult, older adult and occasional infant through adolescent patients. In addition he/she will be considerate and able to work effectively with patients with special physical, emotional and/or psychological needs. The therapist will also assist in the development and achievement of goals at the center and will be instrumental in ensuring the continual quality of services provided.

Requirements

• Successful completion of educational program leading to registration as a Radiation Therapy Technologist.
• Current certification with the California Department of Public Health as a Radiation Therapist required.
• Current Registry with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology preferred.
• BLS certification within six months of hire.
• 1-2 Years experience preferred.
