Location: Onsite – Santa Clara, CA

Employment Type: Full-Time, Regular

A leading healthcare organization is seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join their team in Santa Clara, CA. This role involves operating radiation therapy equipment, setting up and treating patients per physician prescriptions, maintaining patient records, and ensuring radiation safety protocols. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical expertise, patient care skills, and a commitment to delivering high‑quality treatment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CT/SIM and treatment equipment, including linear accelerators and high‑dose rate afterloading machines.
• Perform daily equipment checks and ensure proper functioning.
• Accurately deliver radiation treatments based on physician‑prescribed mode, energy, dose, and treatment time.
• Set up patients for treatment following department policies and physician instructions.
• Maintain accurate treatment records, schedule treatments, and provide patient instructions.
• Fabricate immobilization devices and radiation field‑shaping blocks as needed.
• Ensure patient and staff safety by adhering to radiation protection and infection control protocols.
• Exhibit strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate care effectively.
• Deliver exceptional patient care with professionalism and compassion.

Qualifications

Required

• Education: High School Diploma/GED
• Certification:
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist – Therapeutic Radiologic Technology (CRT‑T) (CA) OR Radiologic Technologist Certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Training: Graduate of an Accredited Radiation Therapy Program
• Additional: California Fluoroscopy License (if fluoroscopy is performed in the role)

Preferred

• Experience with record and verify systems and multi‑leaf collimators.
• 1+ year of recent experience in patient treatment using various radiation therapy equipment.
