Job summary

Live Well Homecare is seeking a Staff Radiation Therapist in the Radiation Oncology Department to deliver ionizing radiation per physician prescriptions. You will operate radiation equipment, follow safety protocols, and perform precise procedures while documenting treatments in the EMR.

Requirements include an Associate degree, ARRT‑T certification and BLS on hire, with a preference for 2+ years of radiation therapy experience.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from an accredited program.
• ARRT‑T (Radiation Therapy) and BLS certifications required upon hire.
• Minimum of 2 years radiation therapy experience preferred.
• Ability to treat and simulate patients accurately.

Responsibilities

• Participates in Quality Control monitoring and ensures accurate delivery of therapy.
• Performs patient assessments, executes procedures, and provides specialty care tailored to patient age groups.
• Documents treatments accurately in Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• Assists colleagues, recognizes limitations, reports adverse reactions, and educates patients and families on treatment side effects.
• Prepares patient setups, simulates treatments, and schedules appointments efficiently.
• Follows safety procedures, wears radiation badges, practices universal precautions, and manages patient mobility and fall risks.
• Participates in on-call duties, contributes as a clinical instructor for students, and adheres to organizational policies and standards.
