OSF HealthCare in Rockford, Illinois is hiring a Radiation Therapist to assist in the daily patient flow of Radiation Oncology. This role involves administering treatments, monitoring patients, and designing custom treatment devices.
The ideal candidate will have a current Radiation Therapy license and ARRT Radiology registration, along with strong interpersonal and analytical skills. This is an hourly position with competitive pay and benefits package.

Expected pay for this position is $39.13 - $51.21/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.
This is an Hourly position.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Radiation Therapist will assist with the daily patient flow of the Radiation Oncology clinical location, evaluate/develop new process for patient care, and assisting with other activities to improve Radiation Oncology operations. According to established procedures, assists physicians by treating patients with prescribed doses of ionizing radiation supplied and controlled through specialized radiation equipment. In doing so, prepares treatment room, explains procedures to patients, positions patients and administers treatments. Monitors patients during therapy sessions in order to ensure patients' comfort and to observe changes in patients' condition. Simulates patient treatment according to the treatment plan and delivers prescribed doses of ionizing radiation supplied and controlled through specialized radiation equipment. Designs and constructs custom treatment devices for individual patients. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the ages of the patients served.
