Job summary

Henrico Doctors' Hospital is seeking a Radiation Therapist to administer radiation therapy treatments and verify prescribed doses and field angles before use. You will position and immobilize patients to ensure accurate treatment and maintain communication with the patient during procedures.

You will observe for unusual reactions and report them to the radiation oncologist. Requirements include ARRT-T Radiation Therapy certification and an Associate Degree, with BCLS within 30 days of start date.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• ARRT-T Radiation Therapy credential.
• Associate Degree required.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Administer radiation therapy treatments to patients.

Verify prescribed treatment dose before treatment, verify fields to be treated and angles to be used.

Assure placement of protective devices in order to shield otherwise healthy exposed tissue of patients.

Place and immobilize patient to ensure accurate treatment. Maintain constant visual and intercom contact with the patient during treatment to assure patient remains in the proper position.

Observe patient for unusual reaction and report any abnormal conditions to the radiation oncologist.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
