Responsibilities
Provides high quality and accurate delivery of radiation to patients, through the use of linear accelerators and simulators. The therapist will display the basic knowledge of dosimetry, computers, and other necessary equipment in Radiation Oncology. Furthermore, the therapist must collaborate with others, be well organized, accomplish tasks, solve problems and communicate effectively. Provides teaching instruction to Fellows, Residents, and students.

Radiation Oncology Department
The Radiation Oncology Department at Mayo Clinic Arizona is equipped with some of the most advanced technology in the field. This includes three CT Simulation rooms, four TrueBeam Linear Accelerators, and four Proton Gantries, which are utilized to deliver precise radiation therapy. Additionally, the department offers an HDR (High Dose Rate) program and an IORT (Intraoperative Radiation Therapy) program, ensuring a broad spectrum of treatment options for patients.

Qualifications
Graduation from an ARRT-approved program in Radiation Therapy Technology
Knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span.
The ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and appropriately interpret information relative to the patient's age-specific needs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with computers.
Relevant experience preferred.
ARRT registration.
Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) Certified Therapy Technologist (CTT) certification.
Basic Life Support Certification is required upon hire and must be valid for 90 days or greater from start date.
Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) Competency.
