• Associate degree in radiation therapy is required.

• Two years of prior experience as a radiation therapist.

Responsibilities

• Administers radiation treatments as prescribed by the radiation oncologist.
• Maintains EMR and related treatment documentation.
• Performs simulation procedures for treatment planning.
• Schedules simulation and treatment appointments and coordinates with patients and staff.
• Participates in quality assurance and continuous quality improvement for radiation therapy.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Join our ACR accredited Radiation Therapy team in providing an exceptional level of care through advanced high-quality treatment procedures such as SBRT, SRS, HDR, DIBH, Gating. As part of the Karmanos Cancer Network, we utilize Varian linear accelerators, Eclipse treatment planning with advanced features like RapidPlan, HapidArc, and Aria to record and verify on a common unified platform.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

• Administers radiation treatments as prescribed by the radiation oncologist.
• Maintains EMR and other documentation related to treatment simulation and delivery.
• Performs simulation procedures, as ordered by the radiation oncologist, for the purpose of treatment planning.
• Schedules simulation and treatment appointments; facilitates communication of scheduling with patient and staff.
• Actively involved in quality assurance and continuous quality improvement programs for radiation therapists.
• Performs other related duties as required and directed.

Qualifications Required

• Associate degree in radiation therapy.
• Board certified in radiation therapy from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
• BLS certification as healthcare provider or obtains within 6 months of employment as a radiation therapist.
• Two years prior experience working as a radiation therapist.

Qualifications Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in radiation therapy.
• Active member of the American Society of Radiation Therapists (ASRT)
