Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiation Technology program and eligible to sit for the board exam (pass within two attempts).
• ARRT-registered in Radiation Therapy.
• Certification as a Radiation Therapist by the State of Washington.
• AIDS certification for healthcare workers (7 hours).
• CPR Certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver prescribed radiation therapy safely and accurately per procedures.
• Observe patients for unusual reactions and report to supervisor.
• Assist in emergency treatment as needed.
• Maintain daily treatment schedule and coordinate with physicians, physics staff, and front office.
• Assist with treatment times, simulations, and diagnostic studies as required.

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Radiation Therapist to join a dynamic team in the Tacoma / Olympia area. This role involves delivering external beam radiation therapy as prescribed by the Radiation Oncology physician and Medical Radiation Physicist. You will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to patients while ensuring their safety and comfort during radiation treatments. Key Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately deliver prescribed radiation therapy in accordance with department procedures.
• Observe patients for any unusual physical or psychological reactions and report them immediately to the Clinical Nurse Specialist or Radiation Oncology physician.
• Assist in emergency treatment as needed.
• Maintain the daily treatment schedule and work cooperatively with the physician, physics staff, and front office team.
• Assist with treatment times, simulations, and diagnostic studies as required.

Minimum Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Radiation Technology program and eligible to sit for the board exam (must pass within two consecutive trials).
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy.
• Certification as a Radiation Therapist by the State of Washington.
• AIDS certification for healthcare workers (7 hours).
• CPR Certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist (preferred).
• Experience working with Varian equipment (preferred).
• Open to new graduates.
