Job summary

Colquitt Regional Medical Center seeks a Radiation Therapist to manage day-to-day scheduling and treatment for patients needing radiation therapy. You will build strong patient relationships from orientation to completion and address questions to optimize therapy. Collaborate with the dosimetrist on technical delivery and act as the equipment QA expert.

The role benefits from the support of a small team and flexibility to assist across radiation oncology as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: Associates or better.
• Experience: 3 years preferred.
• Licenses & Certifications: Radiation Therapist (Required).
• Basic Life Support: Novice.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and treat patients undergoing radiation therapy.
• Develop rapport with patients from orientation through completion.
• Collaborate with the dosimetrist on technical delivery of radiation.
• Serve as quality assurance and equipment expert for radiation delivery.
• Support a small team across radiation oncology.

JOB SUMMARY - A Radiation Therapist is responsible for the day-to-day scheduling and treatment of patients needing radiation therapy. Therapists develop a close bond with each patient, starting during the orientation process for each patient’s experience, and through to completion of therapy. They ensure patient’s questions and concerns are addressed, and that therapy is optimized. Work closely with the dosimetrist on all technical delivery of radiation, and act as an expert in the quality assurance and function of the equipment used to deliver radiation. This role enjoys the flexibility a small team provides and is willing to assist in all areas of radiation oncology.
