Role Description

The Radiation Therapist is a full-time, on-site role based in Montgomery, AL and Selma, AL. This position is responsible for accurately delivering prescribed radiation treatments, operating radiation therapy equipment, and following all safety protocols. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and positioning patients for treatment, verifying treatment plans and machine settings, monitoring patients during procedures, and documenting treatment details in clinical systems. The Radiation Therapist collaborates with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and nursing staff to support individualized care plans, responds to patient questions and concerns, and participates in quality assurance activities to maintain high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) credentials in Radiation Therapy and meet applicable state licensure requirements.
• Candidates should possess strong skills in radiation safety and adherence to regulatory and institutional safety standards.
• Candidates should possess practical knowledge of dosimetry and radiation delivery techniques to ensure accurate and effective treatment.
