Job summary

Southern Cancer Center in Baldwin County, AL is seeking a dedicated Radiation Therapist to join our patient-centered team. Under direct supervision, you will administer precise radiation treatments and ensure accurate delivery of prescribed doses.

You will input treatment parameters into the EMR, help train new therapists, support scheduling and billing, and maintain a safe, organized treatment environment.

Entry-level candidates welcome; ARRT certification and state licensure required.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy Technology program.
  • ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy is required.
  • Valid state license to practice radiation therapy.
  • 0–3 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist; entry-level candidates welcome.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver and document radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist and under the guidance of the Chief Radiation Therapist.
  • Input and maintain accurate treatment parameters in the electronic medical record system.
  • Assist in training new therapists and students as needed.
  • Support scheduling and ensure accurate billing information is submitted.
  • Fabricate custom molds and cut blocks when applicable.
  • Perform basic monitor unit (MU) calculations.
  • Interpret computerized treatment plans with precision.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment environment.

Position Overview

Under direct supervision, the Radiation Therapist is responsible for administering radiation treatments to patients with the highest level of accuracy and care. This role requires precise alignment of radiation beams to the targeted tumor volume and accurate delivery of prescribed doses. The ideal candidate will uphold the standards of theUS Oncology Compliance Program, including adherence to theCode of Ethics and Business Standards.

Key Responsibilities
