Job summary

Southwest General is seeking a Radiation Therapist to deliver prescribed therapeutic radiation with accuracy and compassion. This role requires daily patient treatment monitoring, thorough recordkeeping, and attention to charting, billing, filing, and labeling.

Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program and hold current Ohio licensure; prior radiation therapy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program for Radiologic Technology and current licensure by the State of Ohio.
• Previous experience in Radiation Therapy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate delivery of therapeutic radiation as prescribed by a radiation oncologist.
• Daily recordkeeping of patient treatments including charting, billing, filing and labeling.
• Observe patients' status and identify needs relative to chronological age, developmental age and psychosocial maturity.

Job description

The Radiation Therapist is responsible for providing quality and compassionate customer care, performing all the daily monitoring and accurate delivery of therapeutic radiation as prescribed by a radiation oncologist. This position requires daily recordkeeping of patient treatments, which includes charting, billing, filing, and labeling. The Radiation Therapist must demonstrate the ability to observe patients' status and identify each patients' requirements relative to their specific chronological age, developmental age and/or psychosocial maturity.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Graduate of an accredited program for Radiologic Technology and current licensure by the State of Ohio.

Required length and type of experience:

Previous experience in Radiation Therapy preferred.
