Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center in Magnolia, AR is hiring a Radiation Therapist to work under radiation oncologists, administering prescribed treatments, performing simulations, and ensuring radiation safety. The role uses linear accelerators, completes machine warmups, and maintains treatment records while supporting patients emotionally.

Required: Associate's degree or equivalent with ARRT RT(T) certification and BLS; preferred Proton therapy experience; 1 year of prior radiation therapy.

Qualifications

• ARRT RT(T) certification and CRT preferred.
• Proton therapy experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up patients for daily treatments based on simulation and planning docs.
• Operate linear accelerators and perform CT simulations and warm-ups.
• Maintain treatment records and ensure radiation safety policies.
• Provide patient support and document any variations for Physics/Service review.
• Report machine issues and coordinate with Physics/Service.

Responsibilities:• Uses the information provided by simulation, dosimetry and Radiation Oncologists to consistently and accurately set up patients for daily treatments.• Be aware of radiation safety policies as they relate to the operation of the equipment and protection of the patient.• Performs and documents treatments in accordance with the planning documentation provided by simulation, dosimetry, and Radiation Oncologist. Able to perform radiation therapy procedures including but not limited 3D, IMRT, and CT Simulation.• Perform Linear Accelerator warm-up procedures. Documents variations and elevates to Physics/Service. • Perform CT simulator warm-up procedures. Documents variations and elevates to Physics/Service. • Maintains equipment and reports machine errors to Physics/Service asrequired.
