Job summary

Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa, CA is seeking a Radiation Therapist for a Per Diem position with 8-hour Day shifts. Under supervision, you will coordinate, prepare and administer radiation therapy treatments and simulations while upholding radiation safety practices.

Candidates must have ARRT certification and California radiologic technology credentials at hire. This role supports a compassionate cancer care team within the Providence system.

Qualifications

• Certification/licensure as required by federal, state and Joint Commission standards.
• ARRT National Certification required upon hire.
• California Diagnostic and Therapeutic Radiologic Technology Certification or California Therapeutic Radiologic Technology Certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, prepare and administer radiation therapy treatments and simulation procedures.
• Maintain compliance with radiation safety practices and regulatory standards.
• Perform duties under minimum supervision in a per diem scheduling context.

Radiation Therapist at Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa, CA. This position is Per Diem and will work 8- hour, Day/ shifts

Under the direction of the Lead Radiation Therapist, Radiation Oncology Manager, Physicist, and Radiation Oncologists and with latitude for independent judgment, performs all the professional duties involved in coordinating, preparing and administering radiation therapy treatments and simulation procedures within appropriate radiation safety practices. Acts in compliance with Federal, State, and Joint Commission standards. Performs duties under minimum supervision.

Required Qualifications:

• Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
• Upon hire: National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
• Upon hire: California Diagnostic and Therapeutic Radiologic Technology Certification, Or
• Upon hire: California Therapeutic Radiologic Technology Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a hospital setting.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Pay Range: $67.54 - $85.25
