Job summary

Intertek is seeking a Radiation Safety Office with RT Level II certification to join our Industry Services team in Houston, TX. The RT Level II Technician will manage radiation safety programs and perform field inspections to ensure compliance with codes and standards.

We value candidates with 3+ years of field experience, ASNT Level II in Radiographic examination, and a safety-first mindset; TWIC and a valid state card are required, with opportunities for professional growth within Asset

Qualifications

• Must have prior experience and certification as a Radiation Safety Officer.
• Must be qualified and certified as an ASNT Level II in Radiographic examination (Code Quality).
• Minimum of 3+ years field experience.
• Hold a valid State card (required).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record (required).
• TWIC Card (required).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to pass a physical exam.
• A mindset of safety first.

Responsibilities

• Manage radiation safety programs.
• Research new and existing radiation regulations.
• Measure product, material or facility radiation levels.
• Supervise personnel working with radioactive materials.
• Radiographic Testing Film Interpretation (RTfi): film interpretation and evaluation to codes and standards.
• Set up and calibrate equipment and interpret results per codes, standards, specifications.
• Organize and report results of assigned NDT and training of trainees.
