Siemens Healthineers is seeking a Radiation Safety Officer to design and coordinate RAM compliance across Knoxville and Rockford sites. The role involves developing safety policies, training staff, and guiding safe handling of radioactive materials.

You will lead exposure monitoring, maintain records, and oversee regulatory reporting while collaborating with internal stakeholders to uphold safety standards.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Physics, Nuclear Engineering or related field.
• 5 years experience as Radiation Safety Officer.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state and local regulations, and industry Radiation Protection standards.
• Proficiency in radiation detection and measurement instruments.
• Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills.
• Strong writing capabilities, especially with writing clear, concise EHS procedures.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsabilidades

• Ensuring RAM license compliance and local, state and federal regulations for Knoxville and Rockford sites.
• Developing and implementing radiation safety policies, procedures and training.
• Providing guidance and training on safe handling of radioactive materials and emergency response.
• Performing audits, inspections, and surveys to ensure safety standards.
• Managing exposure monitoring program and dosimeter handling.
• Maintaining records of radioactive materials, inventories, leak tests.
• Maintaining public dose documentation and radiation machine inventory.
• Overseeing calibration of radiation survey instruments and RAM shipments.
• Leading Radiation Emergency Response Teams (RERTs).
