Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for Radiation Oncology in Tucson. The role supports 1-2 physicians, participates in consults, CT simulation, and treatment visits, and may assist with pre/post-sedation care for adults and children.

The shift is 4–10 hour days, with no weekend or on-call rotations. The nurse assesses, plans, implements and evaluates patient care using professional standards, ensuring evidence-based practice and high-quality outcomes in a cancer care setting.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice (or compact license).
• BLS certification is required.
• Experience in an acute care setting and in specialty areas is desired.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and plan care in collaboration with the health care team.
• Develop and revise discharge plans and goals with patient/family.
• Provide direct patient care per physician orders and nursing plan of care.
• Document assessments, interventions and patient responses in the medical record.
• Coordinate care across units and with other health professionals to ensure quality care.
