Job summary

The Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee seeks an experimental researcher to design and perform experiments for sponsored projects. You will compile and analyze data, participate in PI meetings, and help ensure data quality and protocol integrity in an environmentally controlled lab.

Responsibilities include maintaining cells, media preparation, equipment calibration, and daily operation oversight when needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor’s degree required.
• Relevant science background preferred.
• Experience may substitute education on an equivalent basis.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine and complex experiments.
• Monitor inventory and order lab supplies; maintain inventory.
• Prepare media and maintain cells by various culturing techniques.
• Participate in meetings with PI and research staff; evaluate data.
• Oversee daily lab operation in the supervisor's absence.
• Assist in development and implementation of research protocols.
• Record and compile accurate records; communicate summaries.
• Help evaluate, interpret, and assess experimental data and QC.
• Operate, calibrate and maintain specialized equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.
