A successful applicant will be an MD or MD/PhD who is committed to pioneering major advances in medical practice through research. Applicants should be interested in an aspect of cancer research relevant to the Division of Radiation Oncology, including the development of therapies that modulate the response to radiation therapy. Radiation Oncology Physician Scientists Candidates will advance their academic careers by performing oncology and/or radiation biology research with access to state-of-the-art facilities and working with expert faculty members at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center and the University of Washington.

The Fred Hutch Division of Radiation Oncology has funding to support the incumbent's salary and lab expenses for two years of translational research training.
