Job Summary

The **Radiation Oncology Program Administrator** will oversee the planning, operational development, and day-to-day management of Riceland’s cancer center. This leadership role requires a hands-on professional who can coordinate across departments, manage operational workflows, support clinical teams, and help build a high-quality, patient-centered oncology program from the ground up.

Program Development & Operations
  • Lead the operational setup and launch of the radiation oncology program and cancer center services.
  • Develop workflows, policies, and care coordination processes with imaging, surgery, infusion, home health, and hospice.
  • Oversee front office, scheduling, patient access, and operational efficiency for the **Varian Linear Accelerator**.
  • Partner with HR to recruit, onboard, and support clinical and administrative staff.
Leadership & Community Engagement
  • Serve as the primary administrative liaison between the cancer center and executive leadership.
  • Collaborate with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and key performance metrics.
  • Partner with Marketing & Physician Relations to strengthen provider referral streams across Southeast Texas.
  • Monitor quality metrics, patient satisfaction, and support multidisciplinary tumor boards.
Education & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Business, or related field required.
  • **Minimum of 5 years** of healthcare operations or practice management experience.
  • Proven capability in managing medical staff, operational budgets, and clinical workflows.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and multitasking abilities.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience in **oncology, radiation oncology, or cancer center operations**.
  • Experience launching or expanding a new healthcare service line/facility from scratch.
  • **Master’s degree (MHA, MBA, or equivalent)** is highly preferred.
