Position Overview

Serve Those Who Served:
Make a meaningful impact on our nation's veterans as a Radiation Oncologist at the South Texas Veterans Health Care System's Audie L. Murphy VA Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. We seek a compassionate, skilled physician to join our dedicated team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional direct patient care, adhering to national and VA quality standards.
  • Teach and supervise medical students and residents.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and clinical/academic committees.
  • Engage in research opportunities supported by the VA and MD Anderson Mays Cancer Center.
Qualifications
  • MD/DO degree.
  • Board Certification in Radiation Oncology from the American Board of Radiology.
  • Proficiency in Mim and Raystation software.
  • Prior VA experience is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary: $375,000 - $385,000 annually, plus up to $15,000 performance pay.
  • Incentives: Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), relocation assistance, sign-on bonus potential.
  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, limited on-call duties.
  • Academic Opportunities: Possible faculty appointment at UT Health San Antonio's Radiation Oncology program.
