Job Summary: The Radiation Oncologist will diagnose and develop personalized treatment plans for patients undergoing radiation therapy. The candidate will collaborate with medical physicists, dosimetrists, radiation therapists, and oncology nurses to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate cancer patients and formulate tailored treatment plans.
• Administer and oversee radiation therapy treatments.
• Collaborate with oncology specialists and multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in tumor boards and case discussions.
• Ensure safety protocols and quality assurance in radiation treatment.
• Educate patients and families about treatment processes and outcomes.
• Engage in clinical research or continuous improvement projects, as applicable.

Qualifications:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
• Board certification (or eligibility) in Radiation Oncology.
• Valid medical license in Louisiana.
• Strong clinical expertise in radiation therapy planning and delivery.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient-centered care and team collaboration skills.

Preferred Experience:

• Proficiency with advanced radiation techniques (e.g., IMRT, SBRT, SRS, IGRT).
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
