Job summary

St. Bernards Healthcare is seeking a Patient Care Technician to perform assigned patient care activities and assist licensed nursing personnel in a hospital setting.

Under the direct supervision of the Patient Care Manager or designee, you will be responsible for assigned areas on one shift. Overtime and call-back may be required by the facility, and you will work in a safety-sensitive role with emphasis on geriatric care and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Windows, Office and Internet.
• Ability to perform patient care support activities via approved program or Nurse Aide certification.
• Graduation from SBMC PCT program or RN/LPN Nursing Student Skills Checklist completion.
• PCT experience within the last year considered in lieu of formal training.
• Note: vo-tech requires instructor completion of student skills checklist.
