Job summary

The START Center for Cancer Care in San Antonio, Texas seeks a Director of Medical Physics to lead the Radiation Oncology Physics program across three locations. This role ensures safe, compliant delivery of radiation therapy and oversees treatment planning, QA, and staff development.

Lead a team of physicists, dosimetrists, and therapists, drive regulatory compliance, and collaborate with oncologists and vendors to advance patient care and program growth.

Qualifications

• PhD or MS in Medical Physics or related field.
• ABR Therapeutic Medical Physics board certification.
• Texas licensure or eligible to obtain licensure.
• Minimum five years of clinical experience in Radiation Oncology Physics.
• Leadership/management experience in multi-site program.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee medical physics activities across three sites.
• Ensure safety, quality, and accuracy of treatments.
• Oversee treatment planning processes and QA programs.
• Lead machine commissioning, acceptance testing, and ongoing evaluations.
• Develop policies for treatment planning, imaging, and quality management.
• Manage staffing and clinical coverage across locations.
