Job summary

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a Department Administrator for Radiation Oncology to lead administrative operations, faculty and staff lifecycle management, and divisional initiatives. You will partner with the Department Chair(s) and leadership to build and sustain high-quality administrative infrastructure across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
• Progressive healthcare/business management experience to lead departments.
• Strong leadership in a matrix organization with cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience with clinical operations, budgeting, and strategic planning.
• Experience in faculty recruitment and space planning is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as HR lead for the department and oversee recruitment, hiring, and staff development.
• Manage faculty life cycle, onboarding, offboarding, and performance reviews.
• Oversee facilities, space planning, and asset management within the department.
• Prepare and monitor budgets; coordinate financial reporting with division leadership.
• Provide governance support for policies, reporting, and compliance across departments.
