Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health seeks a Chief Therapist to lead the Radiation Oncology department at RWJUH Hamilton Hospital. The role oversees clinical treatment oversight, staff scheduling, and regulatory compliance across JCERT and NJDEP standards.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years in Radiation Oncology with supervisory experience, ARIA/EPIC fluency, and strong clinical instruction capabilities. The position emphasizes teamwork with physicians and an emphasis on patient safety and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a JCERT accredited radiation therapy program.
• ARRT Certification in Radiation Therapy is required.
• NJDEP licensure and CPR certification must be active.
• Minimum of 7 years in Radiation Oncology and prior supervisory or leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical treatment oversight and departmental management per standards.
• Coordinate staff assignments, coverage plans, and interdepartmental workflow.
• Ensure accurate resource scheduling for simulation, dosimetry, and treatment units.
• Maintain compliance with JCERT, NJDEP, and other regulatory frameworks.
• Manage administrative tasks including payroll, policies, and performance evaluations.
• Lead monthly staff meetings and collaborate with leadership for quality metrics.
