Job summary

Mercy Regional Med Physicians is seeking a Radiation Oncologist to join a collaborative team serving Durango, Colorado, and the Four Corners region. You will evaluate and treat a wide range of cancers with access to advanced Linac/HDR capabilities and a multidisciplinary support network.

You will work with medical oncologists, surgeons, dosimetrists, physicists, and nursing teams to deliver individualized, evidence-based care while supporting quality outcomes and patient-centered service.

Qualifications

• Residency or fellowship completed in area of specialty.
• DEA registration obtained and maintained.
• Board certified or eligible in the appropriate specialty, by a board acceptable to Hospital.
• Medical staff privileges within the Health system, at sponsoring institution.
• Doctorate MD or DO required.
• Active medical license (state) to practice medicine.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients across a broad spectrum of cancer diagnoses within a multidisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with medical oncologists, surgeons, and other specialists to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Engage in routine peer review and system-wide APEx accreditation to support clinical excellence.
• Contribute to a culture focused on quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
