UPMC Hillman Cancer Center in Harrisburg, PA seeks a Radiation Oncologist to provide evidence-based radiation therapy for a broad range of cancers. You will evaluate patients, create individualized plans, oversee delivery, and monitor response and toxicity in a full-time, on-site role.

The successful candidate will collaborate with oncologists, surgeons, physicists, dosimetrists, therapists, and nurses, participate in tumor boards, and contribute to quality improvement and clinical research

Qualifications

• Board-eligible or board-certified in Radiation Oncology with residency.
• PA licensure eligibility to practice medicine in Pennsylvania.
• Experience in a NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center environment is a plus.
• Strong communication and interdisciplinary teamwork skills.
• Commitment to clinical excellence and research involvement when possible.

Role Description The Radiation Oncologist will provide evidence-based radiation therapy to patients with a broad range of malignancies at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center in the Harrisburg, PA area. Day-to-day responsibilities include evaluating patients, developing individualized treatment plans, overseeing radiation delivery, and monitoring treatment response and toxicity. The role involves close collaboration with medical oncologists, surgeons, physicists, dosimetrists, therapists, and nursing staff to ensure safe, effective, and coordinated care. The Radiation Oncologist will participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, and support clinical research and protocol-driven care as appropriate. This is a full-time, on-site position.

Qualifications

• Strong clinical foundation in Medicine and Cancer Treatment, with demonstrated ability to manage diverse oncologic cases.
• Expertise in Radiation and Radiation Therapy, including treatment planning, dose optimization, and management of radiation-related side effects.
• Proficiency in advanced modalities such as Stereotactic Radiosurgery and other precision radiation techniques.
• Board eligibility or certification in Radiation Oncology and completion of an accredited Radiation Oncology residency.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Pennsylvania.
• Effective communication, interdisciplinary teamwork, and patient-centered care skills.
• Commitment to clinical excellence, continuous learning, and participation in research or academic activities when applicable.
• Experience with or interest in working within an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center and integrated health system environment.
