Job summary

DC Army National Guard seeks a Field Artillery Firefinder Radar Operator to determine enemy location and relay targeting data to the unit. The role involves operating the Firefinder radar, performing target acquisition, and maintaining communications and radar systems.

Training includes Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training, with pay during service and access to tuition assistance and other benefits.

Qualifications

• Military enlistment in the Army National Guard.
• Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be between the ages of 17 and 35.
• Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards.
• Must meet citizenship requirements.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain radio and wire communications.
• Construct bunkers and similar areas for field artillery.
• Maintain Firefinder radar with scheduled checkups.
