Job summary

Torch Technologies is seeking a Radar Systems Engineer to support advanced defense and engineering programs in Huntsville, AL. You will develop analytical tools, perform system-level evaluations, and contribute to mission-critical solutions in a fast-paced, technical environment.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, experience in radar/sensor systems, and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams. A DoW SECRET clearance is required.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field (or equivalent).
• 5 years of progressively complex software engineering experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with system analysis, data processing, or radar/sensor systems.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience supporting system testing, validation, or verification.
• Ability to participate in customer meetings, document findings, and remediate issues.
• Candidate must currently possess a DoW SECRET clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review plans and reports to ensure system and software operations comply with requirements and design specifications.
• Perform system-level analysis to identify performance issues and optimization opportunities.
• Performing detailed performance analyses, generating actionable insights, and recommending architectural or algorithmic improvements.
• Translate technical requirements into simulation configurations and test cases within virtualized environments.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, bottlenecks, and system inefficiencies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to improve system performance and reliability.
• Support troubleshooting efforts across distributed systems and infrastructure.
• Contribute technical documentation, reports, and customer deliverables.
• Assist in planning and executing engineering tasks to meet program deadlines.
