Saab, Inc. seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to join our Systems Engineering team in East Syracuse, NY, to develop complex electronic surveillance systems for gov and commercial customers.

You will lead top-level design, radar product development, and maintain specifications and documentation while balancing stakeholder needs and managing risk. Travel may be required, with a focus on delivering robust, integrated systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or equivalent.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in safety-critical industries.
• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork.
• Proficiency with electromechanical/embedded software systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with requirements management, system design and integration.
• Excellent written and oral communication; travel may be required.

Responsabilités

• Lead technical investigation and top-level design for new feature development and change requests from internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead development of primary and secondary radar products providing safety-critical surveillance.
• Develop and maintain specifications and technical documentation for deliverables and processes.
• Balance competing interests from multiple stakeholder groups.
• Coordinate with product development management to meet objectives while managing risk.
• Develop and propose new technologies to enhance product performance.
• Support technical and cost proposal preparation for future programs.

Formation

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or equivalent

7+ years of relevant experience

Strong interpersonal skills

Proficiency with electromechanical and/or embedded software systems

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Experience with requirements management, system design, and system integration

Excellent written and oral communication
