Job summary

ELTA North America seeks an experienced Radar Systems Engineer 2 in Annapolis Junction, MD. Lead adaptation and integration of radar systems for U.S. defense, guiding design, testing, and deployment across global teams. Travel up to 25% for collaboration and training, ensuring compliance with DoD specs.

You will analyze requirements, perform performance optimization, and develop documentation while mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with U.S. defense stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems, Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in radar systems engineering for defense or aerospace.
• Knowledge of radar design, signal processing, RF, and performance analysis.
• Experience with integration and troubleshooting in complex defense environments.
• Familiar with DoD standards and U.S. military radar specs.
• Ability to travel up to 25% and obtain US security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead adaptation of foreign radar systems for U.S. defense use and standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for integration into defense platforms.
• Provide expertise in design, testing, and optimization of radar systems.
• Conduct simulations, performance analysis and troubleshooting.
• Manage end-to-end system integration from requirements to deployment.
• Oversee HIL testing and system validation to meet safety criteria.
• Prepare technical documentation and mentor junior engineers.
