Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a Software Quality Engineer to develop and maintain radar software test and release infrastructure. This hands-on role combines testing against real radar hardware with automated test development, hardware-in-the-loop and software-in-the-loop environments, and CI/CD release workflows.

You will collaborate with software and firmware engineers across multiple radar products to reduce manual validation, accelerate feedback, and ensure repeatable, auditable releases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance, software test engineering, or software development infrastructure.
• Experience developing automated tests at unit, integration, or system level.
• Proficiency in Python for test automation and scripting.
• Working proficiency in C++ to understand and debug production software.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD tooling.
• Experience with Jira or similar bug-tracking systems.
• Experience testing and debugging software in Linux environments.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute manual and automated test plans, cases, and scripts for radar software and firmware, including unit, integration, and hardware‑in‑the‑loop testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects; collaborate with developers to reproduce issues and verify fixes.
• Support design and build-out of HIL and SIL test infrastructure, test rigs, emulators, and harnesses validating radar software.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines that run automated test suites and provide fast feedback.
• Develop tooling for reliable collection, cataloging, replay, and traceability of radar test data.
• Support repeatable deployment of firmware and software updates to lab hardware and fielded units.
• Build release‑assurance workflows that generate release notes and maintain traceability between source code, builds, test results, and deployed software.
• Partner with software, firmware, systems, and CM teams to verify software meets quality standards before deployment.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing methodologies, coding standards, and release practices.
