Everforth Apex Systems seeks a Software Engineer to support radar software in a real‑time combat systems environment. You will design, develop, and test modern C++ applications on Linux across distributed architectures, focusing on performance and reliability.

DoD security clearance is required; prior radar/defense experience is highly preferred. The role emphasizes hands‑on development, algorithm optimization, and collaboration with engineers, test teams, and program leadership throughout the

Qualifications

• 2-5 years in software engineering for II, 5+ years for III.
• Experience with modern C++ (C++11/14/17+).
• Strong OO design and software engineering principles.
• Experience developing software in Linux environments.
• Experience with Git/GitLab or similar version control.
• Experience with debugging, profiling, and performance optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain real-time radar software using modern C++.
• Develop software for distributed, multi-processor environments.
• Implement and optimize algorithms for radar control, tracking, sensor processing, and data management.
• Analyze performance and improve throughput, latency, and efficiency.
• Support GPU acceleration efforts (CUDA or similar) where applicable.
• Create automated unit, integration, and regression tests.
• Troubleshoot defects and perform root-cause analysis across systems.
• Collaborate with systems engineers, integration, test teams and leadership.
• Prepare technical documentation including designs, interfaces, tests, and reports.
• Participate in Agile sprint planning, reviews, and demos.
• Assist in integration, verification, validation, and customer tests.
