Job description

The Opportunity

Your engineering skills and determination are needed to develop the cutting‑edge technology that supports the warfighter and national security. Join an energetic team whose day‑to‑day mission involves breaking down the Air Force’s toughest challenges and communicating the essential results of that work to leadership. As an electrical engineer, you bring the power behind complex systems—key when modeling foreign threat radar, antennas, weapons, and communication systems. We’re looking for a problem solver who can use their skills to perform detailed analyses, including the evaluation of detectability of airborne systems and survivability analyses of weapons systems and platforms to be deployed in future combat scenarios. Lifelong learners and motivated, independent thinkers who thrive in a fast‑paced, team environment focused on client delivery are you. This role hones your technical abilities on significant and current engineering problems while gaining experience in leadership and communication.

Our modeling and simulation team performs a variety of classified analyses of future weapons and platform concepts for DoD clients, and we develop the detailed models and simulations required. That’s why we need an electrical engineer with a solid background in signal processing to develop radar and antenna models. You’ll also perform modeling tasks, including radar signal processing code development and the refinement of weapons models in Fortran, C++, MATLAB, and Simulink. You’ll directly impact the Air Force’s mission by helping determine tactics, techniques, and procedures to improve survivability and vulnerability against foreign threat systems and informing acquisition decisions for future systems.

You Have
  • 2+ years of experience with coding in one or more of the following: MATLAB, C++ or Fortran
  • 2+ years of experience working with computational electromagnetic software such as FEKO
  • Knowledge of radar principles for antenna, signal processing, and track filters
  • Ability to work in a dynamic team environment
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science
Nice If You Have
  • Experience with engineering and mathematics
  • Experience with modeling and simulation
  • Experience with Linux
  • Knowledge of U.S. and foreign combat weapon systems, including airborne and ground‑based air defense systems
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science
Clearance

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Compensation

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by factors such as location, the individual’s education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract‑specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,500.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.

Commitment to Non-Discrimination

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to disability, status as a protected veteran or any other status protected by applicable federal, state, local, or international law.
