Job summary

Leidos Defense Systems Integration and TestTeam is seeking a RADAR Integration and Test Engineer to help deliver advanced radar and sensor test solutions. You will work directly with the customer and contractors to execute program requirements through hardware-in-the-loop testing and data analysis.

The role requires hands-on experience with hardware, software, and system integration, plus knowledge of RADAR, RF, Python/C/C++, Linux, and common test equipment such as oscilloscopes and spectrum

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, or electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited university with 4+ years of prior relevant experience or an MS with 2+ years.
  • Candidates must have knowledge of and experience with defense or commercial test engineering practices and processes.
  • Candidates must have experience developing and executing hardware or software test plans and procedures.
  • Candidates must have direct, hands-on experience with hardware, software, or system integration, troubleshooting and testing.
  • Resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
  • US Citizenship is required and active secret clearance.
  • The position may require working outside in all weather conditions and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • The position may require minimal travel for test events (approximately 4 weeks a year).

Leidos Defense Systems Integration and TestTeam is seeking RADAR Integration and Test Engineer. We are a diverse team that works to implement unique solutions for complex problems in the defense sector, including but not limited to kinetic and directed energy defensive and offensive platforms as well as RADAR and other surveillance and sensor technologies. Our team works across multiple business sectors, with industry partners, and directly with the customer. Primary Responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications



  • At least 2 years of experience with test planning and execution.

  • Experience working with RADAR or RF systems.

  • Working knowledge and operation of electronic test equipment (e.g. oscilloscope, voltmeter, signal analyzer/generator, antenna analyzer, power meter)

  • Working knowledge of software languages Python, C, C++, C# and or firmware languages for Xilinx or Altera devices

  • Experience with Linux, Matlab, Labview, and WireShark

  • Experience preparing and presenting briefings and/or demonstrations to customers and management

  • Planning and executing demonstration tests and US Gov't test ranges/facilities
