Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Radar Test/Integration Engineer in Huntsville, AL to join a diverse team. You will work on RF sensor systems, perform software integration, and contribute to test plans and documentation in a fast-paced environment.

Primary responsibilities include installation, testing, and operation of RF sensors, Linux server management, and collaboration across disciplines to meet mission goals. This role requires onsite work and US citizen status with potential security clearance

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field with 2-4 years of applicable experience.
  • Experience with Matlab, Python, or similar programming languages.
  • Familiarity with containerized software applications (Docker/Podman).
  • Ability to work onsite in a fast-paced environment and obtain/maintain Top Secret clearance if required.

Responsibilities

  • Software installation, integration, and testing of RF sensors and systems.
  • Regular US travel (CONUS) and operation of RF sensors and systems.
  • Linux server installation and maintenance, including network installation and management.
  • Linux server user administration.
  • Authoring of formal test plans and documenting test results.
  • Support tasks related to signal processing, sensor simulation, or related tooling as part of larger projects.

Leidos’ Defense Open Air Sensors Division is seeking a Radar Test/Integration Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex sensor and radar orientated problems. This position affords new or experienced engineers continued opportunities to learn and grow in technical knowledge of sensor and radar systems. The department encourages and frequently incorporates new ideas from all employees into our many sensor projects which span the entire DoD ecosystem. Primary Responsibilities
  • Software installation integration, and testing of RF sensors and systems
  • Regular US travel (CONUS) and operation of RF sensors and systems
  • Linux server installation and maintenance, including network installation and management
  • Linux server user administration
  • Authoring of formal test plans and procedures and documenting the results of test events.
  • A variety of tasks related to signal processing, measurement tracker processing, system performance metrics, sensor simulation, or utility tools as part of larger efforts or customer goals will be assigned. In this role, your organizational skills will be paramount in managing multiple tasks.
Basic Qualifications
  • BS degree from an ABET-accredited college or university in Electrical Engineering or related technical field with 2-4 years of applicable experience
  • Experience working with Matlab, Python, or similar programming languages
  • Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and a strong technical background.
  • Familiarity with formal software testing and implementing a methodical testing approach.
  • Experience installing, utilizing, and managing containerized software applications (e.g., Docker or Podman)
  • Highly organized, demonstrating the ability to work independently at times due to fast-paced and highly productive work environment
  • 100% onsite
  • Must be a US citizen
  • No clearance required to start, must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
  • Reside in the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MS degree from an ABET-accredited college or university in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
  • Experience developing automated tests.
  • Proficiency with DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines in a GitLab environment.
  • Proficiency with network setup and maintenance in a Linux environment
  • Experience authoring and maintaining test plans and procedures
  • Proficiency with Linux administration and scripting
  • Active Top-secret clearance
  • Experience in high-performance computing languages such as C++, including CUDA
  • Experience in the operation of radar HWILs
  • Experience working on any radar-related program or project
  • Ability to create design documentation, requirements specifications, and other technical documentation

Pay Range

Pay Range $69,550.00 - $125,725.00
